'OIKOS' is the Greek word for ‘house’ or ‘household.’ It is used to describe the dwelling place of a person or family, as well as the family itself. A family in the first century would include all biological descendants, adopted members and servants of the household.
Oikos is not only our name, it is our DNA. We are a household of faith (Eph. 2.19-20), coming together around the One who made us family (Rom. 8.17) - Jesus Christ
